What Sells On Ebay
Pretty much everything sells on ebay! The sky’s the limit.
People make the mistake of looking for ‘best sellers’ on ebay and then trying to sell those themselves. You’ll have so much competition if you go down this route that it may be difficult to make enough sales or profit.
Far better to focus on selling stuff that really interests you, and that you know about and feel passionate about. Specialize in one topic and get known for that. In fact the more you specialize the better.
For instance if you love books, don’t try and sell all types of books. Narrow it down. Sell paperback romance books. Or thrillers. Or school books. Or young childrens books.
That way, when someone wants to buy that type of book, they will see you specialize in just that and will come back to you again and again.
If you sell some books on a wide variety of subject, and a few clothes and some dvd’s how can anyone remember you?

Find Items To Sell On Ebay
How To List Your Item To Sell
First you need to decide what category to choose to list your item for sale in. Make it as relevant as possible so people can find your item easily. You have the option of choosing 2 categories for an extra fee, and this is worth it if your item easily fits 2 categories.
After that you write your Title. Make this as specific and factual as possible. Don’t get clever. Why? Because you want people to find your item, and if you are very specific, and use the words they are likely to search with, they’ll all find you.
If you are salesy or clever, you’ll end up using words that are irrelevant, and your item won't get found. Consequently it won't get enough bids and probably won't sell.
So, if you are selling a bridal necklace made of pearls, list it as ‘New Pearl Necklace – Bridal’ NOT ‘Gorgeous, striking choker for your wedding – WOW!’ If you really research keywords you will hugely increase your ebay success.
